Shape- A closed line. Geometric or natural form. Flat and can express length and width.

Space- The area between and around objects (background). can also be the feeling of depth. (Not literal space which is 3D)
Color- Light reflected off of objects consisting of three main characteristics, hue, value and intensity.
Texture- The surface quality that can be seen and felt. the textures can be rough, smooth, soft or hard.
Principles:
Balance- Either symmetrically balanced, the same thing appears on both sides. Or asymmetrically balanced, another object is placed opposite to the center of interest.
Emphasis - A part of the picture that sticks out from the rest of the picture. (color,texture,shape)
Movement- Motion in photography, can be indicated by light glares, water droplets, or streaks.

Repetition- An active pattern.
Proportion- The sizing of nouns.
Rhythm- A pattern indicating movement creating a mood.
Variety- Using several techniques and objects to guide a viewers eye.
Unity- A feeling of peace in the work.
